I have decided . . .

I have decided that the one most important thing in this life is to make yourself happy.  Yes, there are many other important things in life such as family, career, friends, security . . . but you will never have success in these areas unless are are truly happy.  You cannot be a good partner, parent, sibling, friend or even enjoy your work unless you are happy.  And making yourself happy is your job and yours alone.  Your partner, your family, your friends or your career cannot be responsible for making you happy.  This is your responsibility.  When you find how to make yourself happy with life then everything else will fall into place.  When you decide for yourself that obstacles are challenges and problems are opportunities and you discover how to solve theses challenges and how to take advantage of those opportunities you will then discover how to make yourself happy.  It's not an easy job.  It takes self-reflection, courage, and determination but in the end you will find that the effort was well worth it.
