Really?

Did I really fall in love with you?
When you didn’t even too?
Did I really hold your hand?
All of this was so unplanned.

The earth travels round the sun,
The moon travels round the earth.
My love travels round your heart.
My life travels round your birth.

When we met you left a kiss,
All of this is hinged on this.
That is what I can’t undo,
When all your words became untrue.

That moon circles round the earth,
The planets circle round the sun.
It makes me wonder about what’s worth;
When it’s finally said and done.

Is that what happened really?
I thought you loved me freely.
Our future bright, ideally,
But it wasn’t, no, not really.

You didn’t even know me,
Or about my life.
You just figured I was free,
A dull and jagged knife.

It was all supposed to be such bliss,
Now you, I can’t even miss.
Everything that was so grand,
In my mouth, it tastes so bland.

The earth travels round the sun,
The moon travels round the earth.
My love travels round your heart,
My life travels round your birth.

Did I really fall in love with you?
Did that happen really?
And when it fell apart like sand,
All of this we now dismiss?

Tile Patterns

The MCC Festival of the Arts was amazing! Great times with GREAT friends. The tile patterns turned out to be very popular. So I made a page on this blog to catalog the best 3 designs. If I get enough orders maybe I won't have to get another part time job over the summer LOL. Check them out: Pattern Catalog

Updated Singularity Poster

I made a couple of small changes but I think this is a much more effective message:

Poster Design Part 2

After our critique of the first poster designs, the class was instructed to choose a poster and take an opposing viewpoint for our second poster designs. I chose a poster promoting robots as "our friends."

In case you're not familiar with the term "Technological Singularity," according to Wikipedia: Technological singularity is "a hypothetical moment in time when artificial intelligence will have progressed to the point of a greater-than-human intelligence."

And here's an interesting quote from another article I came across on the Internet: When Will Singularity Happen – And Will it Turn Earth into Heaven or Hell? “Defined as the point where computers become more intelligent than humans and where human intelligence can be digitally stored, Singularity hasn't happened yet. First theorised by mathematician John von Neumann in the 1950s, the 'Singularitarian Immortalist' (and Director of Engineering at Google) Ray Kurzweil thinks that by 2045, machine intelligence will be infinitely more powerful than all human intelligence combined, and that technological development will be taken over by the machines.”

Sounds a little scary, huh? Could The Matrix, in fact, be a real possibility? So, I decided my poster should be a forewarning of this imminent danger. I welcome your comments and critique (btw, the link at the bottom of the poster is a fictional website):

Wednesday & A New Poem

The sun tormented him when he finally awoke
He coughed and he wheezed until he’d just choke
Grimacing at this poorly played joke
He pulled up the thin sheet around him to cloak

Having a faint memory of events from before
Rolling out of his bed and onto the floor
He managed to get up to open the door
Remembering something he could not ignore

How life somehow seemed to keep going by
That every truth spoken was simply a lie
Recalling all this he thought he should cry
But could only react with a deep gasping sigh

It’s my own fault, he thought to himself
The one to be blamed was always myself
Habitually placing my heart on a shelf
Not paying attention to the needs of the self

He returned to his bed to seek some more sleep
Not wanting to ponder these issues too deep
Knowing what’s sown is only what’s reaped
There’s so very little that’s worthy to keep

He fell on the mattress and clutched to his pillow
He felt that his being was beginning to billow
Imagined the corpse of a dead armadillo
And dreamt of a weeping sage colored willow

He slept to forget the rest of the noon
But awoke to that tormenting sun far too soon
Hoping to see just the light of the moon
His reality reverted to a children’s cartoon

His insanity caused him to seek some relief
Dishonesty began to be his only belief
He swore that someday he’d turn a new leaf
In the end he was robbed by a kind quiet thief

EAT BEEF Poster Revised

I got a very constructive critique from a colleague and made some edits to my design. I think this one is so much better. This is why we critique each other; to bring out the best.

One Other Idea for Poster Design

I had some extra time so I came with one more poster design idea:

Meat Poster

I'm pretty sure I'm going with this one for the critique on March 24th.

Another Idea for the Poster Project

I guess I just enjoy controversy LOL.
